Project Goals:
The lyric video for Marshmello's 2024 track "Don't Speak," featuring Sabrina Claudio, provided an exciting creative opportunity to visually convey the song's deeply emotional and introspective atmosphere. Tasked with expanding upon the initial brief from The Shalizi Group, I developed a cohesive visual narrative that matched the song's reflective tone. Using Adobe Photoshop and After Effects, I designed ethereal, dreamlike visuals, incorporating flowing textures, soft lighting, and minimalistic yet expressive elements. These scenes were brought to life through a combination of traditional and motion graphic animation techniques, paired with kinetic typography that seamlessly complemented the poignant lyrics. The overarching goal was to visually encapsulate the track's themes of vulnerability and emotional connection while maintaining an elegant and engaging aesthetic.
